Who the hell are you?
My name is Sharon, I am unhappily 27 years old, and I am the owner of the weblog that you got this link from. And if you did not know that, I am not sure what you are doing here.
Who is Shazzle then?
That is me, you idiot. It is a nickname that I was given about two years ago that I really liked, cos it sounds like a mixture between sparkle and shallow. Which says a lot about me.
What the hell is the site all about then?
Funny you should ask. I have no idea. It started off as something to muck about with at work, and has turned in to something that I muck about with at work, so there is no real content, meaning, direction or point to it. Which is quite a good reflection of my life. Make of that what you will.
Why the title?
It used to be called What did you say? because that was my usual refrain as I do not always hear people when they talk to me, because I get distracted by what they are wearing or something happening just behind them. But I thought that sounded slightly aggressive, so I changed it to the first thing that made me laugh. It was then called Drugs Make Me Cool, which was purely ironic as I am continually trying to give up smoking, and am afraid that most fancy drugs will kill me. For example, penicillen would kill me. I do like valium though. That title brought me a lot of new hits from people trying to "make drugs", but I think people were starting to be very disappointed by the crap the found on the site. So I changed it again to Dreadful Nonsense because that is how Stephen Fry described his book and if that is good enough for him, it is certainly good enough for me.
What do you do for a living?
Right now, I am not doing anything at all for a living, due to ongoing complications of a health nature. It is all too boring to go into, so I write about it every day on the blog instead. Usually, my day job involves working in a variety of law firms, until they wise up and sack me.
Where do you live?
Thank you for asking. I live with my parents in Dublin now, having moved back from glorious, freezing, dark and depressing Edinburgh a few months ago. I own most of amazon.co.uk and quite a healthy smattering from ebay.co.uk, so I spend a lot of time in my room, staring at my precious things and trying to stop the cat from throwing up on them. Who are all the people mentioned on your site?
Actually, I do not really mention people by name much, and sometimes when I do, I make up names. Occasionally, things are about me, but I put them in the third person, and sometimes things that happened to other people are passed off as my own experiences. I do not want to have to go around asking other peoples permission, and people might stop talking to me if they think that everything they say is going to end up on the internet.
What is your favourite colour?
It seems that this Frequently Asked Question style approach is quite a restricting style, since I have already run out of questions to ask myself. I think I will just make lists now.
